I Let My Children Eat Popsicles for Breakfast

chase-pop chase-pop2Chase has been bugging me to use the popsicle maker grandma gave us all summer. So I mustered a bit of energy and some inspiration from Good Housekeeping, pops and together we made popsicles worthy to be called breakfast!

We altered the recipe from the magazine to fit what we had in the house:

  • 3/4 c. vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2T honey
  • frozen strawberries/blueberries (1 cup)
  • granola
  • skim milk (added as needed to make it blend)

pop4We blended it all together in our Ninja blender, except the granola, and then put them in our popsicle maker (any popsicle molds would work). We had to add some skim milk to get our blender to blend.

Before putting in the sticks, we sprinkled some granola on top.pop2

Then we waited for breakfast to come to eat them! Of course the extra was like a yummy smoothie and made the perfect dinner dessert.

The result:a delicious and healthy treat good enough to have at breakfast! We will definitely be making these again!!
