A Quick Meal Your Child Will Love!

Cooking in our house in non-existent. Too many picky eaters combined with a non-existent cook. Normally we have the kids cook for themselves. Now that we have a little one, I want to expand from meals kids can cookkids meals hot dogs noodles themselves, to quick meals I can make for them and that they can help with.

In the middle of our No Spending Challenge, having something they will eat gets tricky.

Here is one go-to meal the kids all love!

Noodle Dogs: Easy to make and a great way to use up those leftover hotdogs. It’s great because the kids can help make them as well. Simply cut the hot dog into 5-6 coin-sized slices. Then take spaghetti noodles (we do 4 per hot dog) and stick them through the hot dog.kids meals noodle hotdogs

Cook them as you would spaghetti and viola~ dinner is served!

The first time making them Chase wanted to know, “what happened to the sticks?” We had a lesson in noodles following that question.

You can season them with marinara or cheese sauce as well. . My kids don’t even like that (we are working on that), so we just tossed them with butter, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt. Look at those happy faces!kids meals noodles hot dogs

  1. Can you point me in the direction of the paint brushes that you used pretty please? Your kitchen looks gorgeous! I am about to paint my cabinets white with chalk paint, too. They were painted black before we bought the house. I cannot WAIT for them to be white and bright!!!

    1. Glad you liked them! We just did that to spruce up our kitchen this winter. Much cheaper than new cabinets. We used a standard 2-inch sash brush for the chalk paint. Also, our chalk paint was just Dutch Boy from Menards. The key for us was the matte polyurethane we put on top. We put that on with a small roll brush and used four coats. Good luck… I think it was well worth it! It completely changed our kitchen!
